I’ve been making websites professionally since 2001 and personally since 2004.
I have been a teacher (1987-1991) and then spent many years broadcasting on the radio, presenting daily shows and working as a producer and journalist.
The web came my way in 2001 when I was asked to set up a new site for my employer.
I quickly became immersed in the world of the web at work, and it became a huge interest at home.
I received a Distinction in the Level 3 ‘Diploma in Web Design’ from The Association of Certified IT Professionals in 2005 (which means I know how to use Dreamweaver!), and have since been working on a number of my own web projects.
In my professional life my team and I won a Webby Award in the ‘Communities section’ during 2006, an award won by Flickr the year after.
I also guided my team to winning a W³ Silver Award in the Community Section in October 2009, making that a second international award for my work online.
In my personal life it’s proved much harder to replicate that success and build a popular, high-performing website.
I’ve moved from basic HTML, Dreamweaver and Photoshop sites to using PHP to develop more complex database driven websites.
I’ve built more than 10 commercial websites in the past, but none has worked so well for me since I discovered Site Build It! by chance in 2008.
I used the company’s web tools to build my first Adsense site and it quickly began out-performing all of my other content sites and generating a steady but small income.
It was at that stage that I really began to engage with internet marketing and started to see the results and benefits as Adsense payments and affiliate commissions started to arrive more regularly.
I started to build my list using JV Giveaway events and this was the move that really began to power my marketing efforts.
I’m lucky to have decent coding skills, so I began to launch and run my own Giveaway events, and it is that that has moved my list into the thousands now.
It’s not just about building a list though.
By becoming fully active in the Internet Marketing scene I have made incredible contacts and through collaborations and ad swaps I’m striking up new partnerships and powering my business forward.
It has also brought me into closer contact with other people who are trying to start internet businesses and I love being able to help, mentor and guide them through the difficulties that I have worked through myself in the past.
I launched my first Clickbank product called Auto Cash Funnel in December 2010 alongside my mentor Chris Freville and that has now grossed more than $350k.
Auto Cash Funnel has continued to sell well in 2011, in spite of the launch finishing well before the end of 2010, and I am now moving my business onto the next phase.

I launched my new Fast Fan Pages software in Spring 2011 (over 2000 people are using it to date) and I am currently developing this software to enterprise standards and requirements to enable small to medium sized businesses to benefit from the massive potential of social media.
I launched my first coaching program with my mentor Chris Freville in September 2011 and that grossed $128k in one week and over 3 months we coached 500 students the basics of internet marketing via webinar.
I am now keen to pass on the powerful techniques that we use in internet marketing to traditional offline businesses because these easy to implement techniques can make a massive difference to sales and profits.
In 2011 and 2012, I have been speaking to a number of businesses as part of the CN Group’s Social Media days for Cumbrian businesses (see images below).
I just completed another Clickbank launch working with Chris Freville at the beginning of 2012 and my new Facebook software is nearing completion for a Spring/Summer 2012 launch.
